Last night we entered into a whole new world or should I say continent. We went to Tucanos last night for a birthday dinner special. My roomates Lexi and Mary both have September birthdays and in the month of your birthday you can have a free meal. I had mixed feelings about this place however. Walking in, the atmosphere is very fun and kind of exotic especially when you see the meat and pineapple grilling over the flames. Then you pass the salad bar lined with delicious looking bananas. Men would approach the table through out our stay offering succulent meats and pineapple. The pineapple is to DIE for!!!! It was the best pineapple I have ever had! I was really happy with this place until the check was brought to the table. Even with our free meal, it cost me and Dallas thirty bucks! Think of how many cafe rio salads or In N Out cheese burgers you can get with that!! Dallas and I decided we will come back to Tucanos on very very rare and special occasions. I highly recommend everyone tries it, however!
Last night Dallas and I also finished designing our invitations! We thought it would be cheaper and easier than finding a place to do them for us. We went to Costco to see if they have any wedding packages. And boy did they have a good deal! Our invitations at costco will be half of what we would pay at another place. Costco is a beautiful thing :)
So I have been prepping myself for long and tiring hours come October. I am going to go All Star (help train the new hires when a new store opens up) when the Centerville In N Out opens. The actual day of opening is always so up in the air for In N Out . We were told either the first or second week of October but it might be even later. All staring will allow for some bigger buck a roos! We get paid really well to do this plus it will most likely give me full time hours which would be fantastic come November when I suddenly become a poor married lady. I have been hustling to get a lot of wedding things done because I am not sure what to expect. I don't want to find myself not having any time to go look for tuxes or address wedding invitations. One down side of this is being away from Dallas :( we have to stay up in Centerville, but In N Out will pay for a hotel and food. Being away from Dallas for three weeks does NOT sound fun! I can't even go a weekend without missing him hardcore! Every chance we can we will see each other though! I will keep ya'll updated to the opening of the store!
PS. My dress will officially be mine in the morning! The alterations are done and I get it tomorrow :)

Lotoja 2010
Hey everyone! I thought it would be fun to share some videos and pictures from the race. I am sorry I am such a newbie when it comes to blogging so everything is kind of jumbled. The two videos are from the start and the finish of the race. i have such a greater appreciation for what Loren does! I told Loren that I take back all the fruit cake comments I would make about cycling. Its a tough sport! He can shave his legs as much as he likes!! Anyways, it was a really fun day helping Loren and Kelly out. I was in charge of the energy goo and making the perpeteum or as i like to call it "petroleum" ;) 2 scoops of each powder,a dash of orange gatorade, 1/8 of ice and the rest water. give it a good shake and switch it out with the one Loren had. The feed zones were really crazy, almost a blur! As soon as Loren rolled up, he'd shed any clothing, switch out drinks, grab food, and he was off. One feed zone we almost didn't make it. As we were walking up to where we were to meet him he rolled up, it was a close one! Before this feed zone, we were stuck in some nasty traffic and when we realized we hadn't passed loren yet kelly started to panic and put the petal to the medal, thank goodness we saw loren riding up the mountain but at the bottom of the mountain kelly pulled over to help a lone biker with a flat tire which was probably the cause for the close call but it felt good to help that guy! Towards the end of the race we would just leap frog to cheer loren on. That was always really cool especially since at this time we were able to relax! Loren did phenomenal! He really did. I was so suprised at how diligent he was with keeping on going. I was afraid I would see him having a hard time which would have made me so sad but he was a trooper! I was even amazed at how chipper he was at the end of the race ! Overall, it was a really neat experience and I am really proud of loren for doing this especially three years in a row. I am sure there are alot of people that do it once and once was enough but not for loren! enjoy the pics!! :)
